A 21-year-old male university student was expelled after he was found to have spiked a female schoolmate’s coffee, Shanghai International Studies University said Wednesday. The student, surnamed Yin, confessed to lacing the drink with taurine tablets while the victim was away from her seat Sunday. The tablets are sometimes marketed in China as a “love drug.”
