Seven middle school students were killed and 12 injured in a stabbing incident in Shaanxi province on Friday evening, local government said.

The students were attacked on their way home from No. 3 Middle School in Mizhi County at around 6 p.m. A male suspect has been taken into custody and the injured students are being treated at a local hospital. (Image: Weibo user @西安直播)
